Years of Experience: 10 plus years
Education:4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description:
Install new releases of DB2 and DB2 related software; Understanding of relational DBMS, especially DB2; Ability to create logical and physical database designs; Analysis of functional user requirements to develop proper data normalization and conceptual data base designs for new projects; Monitor DB2 DASD storage pools and DB2 partitions; Calculation and allocation of DASD space;Knowledge of DB2 database utilities(Load/Unload, Image copy, Reorg, Restore,etc); Z/OS JCL batch execution; SQL coding knowledge ; Daily core-hour on-site presence and on-call availability during off hours.
