Zycus is looking out for Database Administrator having expertise in PostgreSQL Database solutions including, database installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and backups, monitoring and enhancements.Responsibilities: The DBA will be responsible for handling operational tasks including Hardware, Architecture, configuration, Integration, and maintaining mission-critical Production PostgreSQL databases along with other DBMS technology stack. Architect and enhance the setup for different workloads to optimal performance. Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage. Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need for downtime. Participate in application development projects and be responsible for the database architecture and design. Problem analysis and solution implementation Undertake database upgrades, migrations and other administrative projects. Responsible for database performance review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release. Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases. Responsible for regular maintenance of databases and proactive remediation of database operational problems. Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance. Undergo cross training for other DBMS implementations. Support complex web-based applications.
