This Enterprise Operations (EO) position supports the Lockheed Martin Space division and will be located Onsite in Littleton, CO. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing support to the critical Programs that the Special Programs Division are responsible for.

The focus of this role will be on Database Administration. You will be thrust into a fast-paced environment, solving complex technical challenges. a deep understanding of database systems, server administration, and IT infrastructure best practices. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database environments, while also contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of future IT initiatives.
In this position the chosen candidate will utilize their Application Administrative skills across programs and servers keeping in mind cyber security concerns. The candidate should have expertise in developing, deploying, and sustaining in-house/COTS applications in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, high-energy environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
• Proactively monitor database and server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
• Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies, disaster recovery plans, and security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure business continuity.
• Manage and administer server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualized environments, including patching, upgrades, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize database queries, design efficient data models, and provide technical guidance on database-related issues.
• Lead and participate in IT projects related to database infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance prior to start, with ability and willingness to obtain and maintain CI Poly
• Advanced knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or PostgeresSQL
• Skillset experience with performance tuning, query optimization, database design, and implementation.
• Experience in database backup and recovery, security implementation, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix) and server hardware.
• Understanding of networking concepts, storage systems, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Desired Skills:
• Having an active CI Poly
• Familiarity with designing complex database schemas, data warehousing, data modeling (relational, dimensional, NoSQL), and distributed database systems. They should be able to optimize database performance for high-volume transactions and large datasets.
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with database clustering, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Advanced Certifications: AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Professional Database Engineer, Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
• Expertise in implementing and maintaining robust database security measures, including access control, encryption, auditing, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with performance analysis and profiling tools.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
