Job Description

HOW A DATABASE ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

Perform all aspects in the lifecycle of database engineering and administration, including design to meet customer needs, install, deploy, data migration, maintenance, backup/recovery, patch, and upgrade. 

Conduct database security analysis and vulnerability remediation. 

Evaluates and recommends available database management system (DBMS) products.  

Manage disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.  

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of multiple databases. 

Current and practical expertise using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, MSSQL. 

Extensive experience in database architecture, design, and processing models as well as extensive experience with data architecture, modeling, and management in a broad spectrum of data repository environments, such as data warehouse, on-line transaction processing and hybrid. 

Knowledge and experience working with data migration from different database systems to updated modern systems. 

Familiarity working with Cloud based Database systems. 

Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes.  

Work with project managers and developers to plan and implement database projects. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

Required Education and Experience: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree + 3 years

Certifications: DoD Manual 8570.01-M at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II role  

Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph 

Location: On Customer Site
