AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The Cloud Database Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions on cloud platforms. As an expert in their field, this individual will provide strategic consultancy to assess customer requirements, evaluate technology options, and architect end-to-end database infrastructures that align with the organization's goals. They will lead the technical implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and migration of cloud database environments. The Cloud Database Architect will also identify optimization opportunities, and recommend enhancements to improve reliability, cost-efficiency, and data management capabilities. Serving as a technical leader and subject matter expert, they will collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex challenges, document best practices, and transfer knowledge to upskill the broader team.
