Responsibilities:
The Data Conversions Analyst is responsible for several aspects of the TechShare.Court database. The Database Engineer will work closely with the Data Analysts to ensure the programs for migrating the data are correctly written and align with the defined mappings. The Database Engineer will be required to work with customers remotely via phone and in meetings ensuring proper data is retrieved for conversion and the data is correct. This is a highly collaborative team environment working under strict time constraints. Additionally, the Database Engineer will assist the development team with activities related to the ongoing development of features within the application.
Responsibilities:
· Ensuring data conversion from county legacy system to the TechShare.Court system is successful and data is properly prepared for use in the application.
· Maintaining the Data Conversion toolkit is up to date with changes made to the database schema by the development team.
· Supporting the development team in regards to database questions and best practices
· Supporting the automated database schema update process and troubleshooting issues which arise.
· Production Support of issues related to the database including performance issues, data issues, etc.
· Coordinates the completion of post-conversion maintenance potentially including error resolution, system or data changes.
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience performing database administration, data conversion, and production support
· Strong communication, listening and validation skills.
· Self-management skills.
· Make decisions under pressure.
· Exemplify integrity and maintain the attitude to do the job right the first time.
· Work in many environments, including self-paced and in groups.
· Ability to adhere to strict processes under rigid time frames.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
· Criminal Courts domain knowledge/experience
Work Environment:
The primary work area is a typical office environment with reasonable climate control. This position does not require lifting or physical exertion beyond very modest levels. Duties may require standing, sitting, bending, or stooping.
CJIS Compliance:
Urban Counties must comply with the Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy, including provisions regarding fingerprint-based background checks of employees and contractors. Employees must pass the background check, and to do so must not have any of the following:
· A felony conviction, including a deferred adjudication for a felony;
· A conviction for an offense constituting family violence; and
· A conviction for a misdemeanor above the level of Class C within the last 10 years.
Employees must not be charged with any criminal offense above the level of a Class C misdemeanor during the term of their employment with Urban Counties.
