Since our founding, we have transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. Job Summary: The Database Manager will oversee the organization’s data systems, primarily focusing on managing the cloud-based case management software. This position will ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance while supporting program staff in the effective use of the database to enhance service delivery to survivors of violence. The Database Manager will also be responsible for generating reports, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with grant and funding requirements.
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Rate of Pay: $50,000.00/Annually
Responsibilities Serve as the primary administrator of Apricot cloud-based case management software, overseeing all aspects of the software, including system updates, configurations, and user management.Continuously evaluate the system’s performance and implement updates or improvements. Lead efforts to integrate new technologies and data management tools to enhance service delivery and reporting.Provide leadership and direction on data management by identifying gaps in data collection and proposing solutions to enhance data quality and impact measurement.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, working with Apricot’s support team as necessary.Serve as the point of contact for database-related inquiries and technical assistance within Sojourner.Develop and implement data protocols and best practices to ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal standards regarding data on survivors. Stays current on best practices related to protecting survivor data and privacy.Provide ongoing training and support to agency staff on how to use Apricot, including case entry, data tracking, and reporting features. Facilitates monthly discussions with teams on data trends.Create user guides and training materials for program staff to improve their proficiency and ensure effective database use.Oversees all reporting necessary to support grant and contract awards and administration, ensures compliance with all grants, contracts, and other donor reporting requirements.Create and manage custom reports to track program outcomes, performance metrics, and service delivery. Submits all agency reporting for local, state, and federal government contracts and private grants by designated date each month.Collaborate with leadership and program managers to analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for program improvements.Maintain data integrity by conducting weekly audits, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all case data entered into the system.Compile and analyze internal data to complete Director's Report by designated due date each month.Provides all completed reports to the Executive Leadership Team for review by the designated due date each month.Supervises the Compliance Coordinator within the Quality Assurance Department. Qualifications At least three years’ experience in managing a database system, preferably in a nonprofit or social services environment.One year experience in a supervisory position required.First Aid and CPR certification.Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of automobile insurance and Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to Sojourner Center’s insurance company.At least 21 years of age; ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card.Physical Factors/Working Conditions
Ability to work in an office setting.Requires the use of a computer and other standard office equipment.Some travel between work locations may be required.Other Duties
