Description
This role is part of the Enterprise Data Center Migration Program at our client. They are currently going through an effort to decommission their data centers in Dallas, TX and Charlotte, NC and are working on the migration to Ashburn, VA (primary data center) and Chicago (disaster recovery). They have ~600 applications and 16k batch jobs that run on a nightly basis within their environment.
This person MUST have experience doing some kind of high-level complex infrastructure project in the past – they cannot be an order taker and must DRIVE the project – they must bring some infrastructure/database migration experience to the table.
o Data Center Migration Plan:
Q4 2024: 45 application migrated – no batch jobs associated with these apps
Q1 2025: 74 applications migrated – still doing an analysis of the apps to see what dependencies they have on batch jobs
Q2 2025: 275 applications migrated
Q3 2025: remainder of applications (600 apps total)
General Overview: The individual has full responsibility and accountability for the execution of the Project as well as the outcome.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating the completion of required SDLC artifacts and approvals, including uploading to repositories
• Coordinate internal and external resources and third parties/vendors.
• Deliver projects against the operating plan on time, on budget, on quality and experience
• Development of a detailed project plan and schedule to track progress and milestones
• Refinement of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Creation of project-level status reporting and development communications plan
• Manage and identify availability and allocation of project Resources, in partnership with Resource Manager.
• Initial point of contact for project escalations
• Managing & tracking project budget, risks, and issues
• Primary Liaison with Business Project Managers, responsible for ensuring project status alignment with Business PM.
Qualifications/Competencies
• Business/IT degree qualified
• Five or more years’ project management experience in Technology
• Broker Dealer/Financial Service or other heavily regulated industry experience
• Active PMP certification required
• Organizational skills in planning, implementation and reporting of a project.
• Skilled in managing full lifecycle of project delivery: creation of production processes and procedures, support model requirements and business acceptance & handover
• Detail-oriented
• Thrives in collaborative environment
• Ability to identify and manage risk. Ability to escalate when necessary.
• Experience in managing project budgets and multi-faceted projects
• Good communications skills, with customers, team and stakeholders
• Business & IT strategy experience
• Customer-focused mindset
• Knowledge of related software tools (Jira, TFS, PlanView, etc.)
• Strong leadership capability - experience of communicating and engaging staff, peers and stakeholders in the delivery of projects
• Experience managing virtual teams based globally
• Experience in delivering multiple, large scale and budget technology projects including infrastructure projects

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
