Job Title: Databricks- Power BI Architect / Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect with 12 to 15 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Databricks CLI Python Databricks SQL and Databricks Workflows along with a strong background in Finance and Accounting. This role involves designing and implementing advanced data solutions to drive business success.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of data architectures using Databricks CLI to ensure efficient data processing and storage. Oversee the development of data pipelines and workflows using Databricks Workflows to automate data integration and transformation tasks. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team in the use of Python for data analysis and machine learning applications. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to understand their data requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data by implementing robust data validation and quality checks. Develop and optimize SQL queries in Databricks SQL to extract transform and load data from various sources. Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations. Implement best practices for data security and compliance particularly in the context of financial data. Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of data workflows to enhance system efficiency. Provide detailed documentation and training to team members on the use of Databricks tools and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions with other business systems and applications. Stay updated with the latest advancements in Databricks and related technologies to continuously improve data solutions. Drive innovation by exploring new data technologies and methodologies to enhance business intelligence capabilities.

Qualifications

Possess a strong background in Databricks CLI Python Databricks SQL and Databricks Workflows. Demonstrate extensive experience in the finance and accounting domain. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues. Showcase strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Certifications Required

Databricks Certified Professional Data Engineer

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 09/22/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000.00 – $175,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
