Key Responsibilities: 

• Exercise overarching management of daily operations within enterprise data centers, ensuring optimal performance, maximal uptime, and unwavering operational efficiency through advanced monitoring systems and predictive analytics. 

• Lead, mentor, and provide strategic direction to a cohesive team of data center technicians and IT support staff, encompassing leadership, extensive training programs, and rigorous performance evaluations. 

• Ability to train team members to oversee compute and storage operations holistically and umbrella the program to be self-resilient and technology independent. 

• Strong understanding of compute operations which includes Windows and Linux setups, Enterprise Storage and Backup, familiarity with Nutanix and OpenShift technologies. 

• Understanding of best utilizing monitoring tools like Opsramp, Splunk and App Dynamics to proactive reduce alerts and ERT occurrences. 

• Facilitate seamless coordination with cross-functional departments to harmonize data center operations with overarching organizational goals and objectives, utilizing robust ITSM (IT Service Management) frameworks. 

• Formulate, develop, and enforce comprehensive policies, procedures, and best practices comply to data center management, ensuring operational excellence, including ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) methodologies. 

• Engage in meticulous monitoring of data center infrastructure using tools such as Opsramp encompassing servers, storage and data protection systems.  

• Strategically plan and adeptly manage compute and storage capacity, ensuring the alignment of resources with current demands and future scalability, leveraging capacity planning tools and methodologies. 

• Safeguard data security, ensuring strict adherence to compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks, including SOX, ISO 27001, GDPR, and local data protection regulations. 

• Spearhead initiatives focused on disaster recovery planning and the establishment of robust business continuity protocols, employing solutions such as Veeam

Proficiently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues pertaining to data center operations and compute resources, using advanced diagnostic and analytical tools. 

• Cultivate and manage synergistic vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for equipment and services, ensuring value optimization and adherence to SLAs 

Support daily operations and provide customer support, ensuring high availability and reliability of services. 

Provide 24x7 oncall technical support and expertise for customer issues and service provider escalation, using remote management tools.
