**Job Description: Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I** **Location:** Onsite, Sterling, VA **Pay Rate:** $37.23/hr. **Duration:** 6 Months **Overview:** We are seeking a **Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I** to join our team at Data Center. This role will focus on Data Center Engineering Operations, including risk management and mitigation, maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting. The position will involve working with both on-site technicians and business leaders to ensure smooth and efficient operations. **Responsibilities:** + Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work adheres to established practices and procedures. + Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility’s operations and maintenance. + Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency. + Operate and manage both routine and emergency services for a variety of critical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc. + Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities. + Participate in projects aimed at increasing current facility efficiency. + Oversee asset and inventory management. + Assist in recruiting efforts for the team. + Ensure high-quality service delivery and meet all customer demands. **Basic Qualifications:** + **Bachelor’s Degree** or **Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree** in a relevant field. + **0-2 years** of relevant work experience. + **0-2 years** of management experience. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Excellent leadership and organizational skills. + Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** + **0-2 years** of Data Center Engineering experience. + **0-2 years** of Data Center Management experience. + **Bachelor’s Degree** in **Electrical Engineering** , **Mechanical Engineering** , or a related discipline. + Fundamental knowledge of **network design** and layout, as well as **low voltage (copper/fiber)** cabling.
