We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Day Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Harlow, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for inspections, repairs, adjustments, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, as well as participating in continuous improvement projects within our facility.
Conduct regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipmentPerform adjustments and troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement projectsPrioritize safety and adhere to safe working practices at all timesRespond promptly to mechanical issues during daytime hours to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performanceContribute to the development of preventive maintenance schedulesAssist in the installation and setup of new mechanical equipmentProvide technical support and guidance to other team members as neededParticipate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas for process improvementsQualificationsEngineering ApprenticeshipProven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an industrial settingProficiency in using hand and power tools, including grinders, drill presses, calipers, micrometers, protractors, gauges, wrenches, chisels, files, and scrapersStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and industry best practicesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressureDemonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipCollaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across departmentsSolid understanding of safety protocols and regulations in industrial environmentsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficientlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to work flexible hours when required to ensure manufacturing process safetyPhysical ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heightsContinuous improvement mindset with a drive for innovation and efficiencyAdditional InformationWe offer:
