BASIC PURPOSE

Performs the daytime warehouse functions: receives inbound product from vendors, tags and records product, restocks product into the pick and reserve slots and replenishes pick slots by letting down product from the reserve slots. This makes sure that the division maintains proper inventory levels and that the inventory is in place for fast and accurate selection during the night shift. Such selection is key for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Main Ingredients of the Job

As a US FOODS® Day Warehouse Selector, you will be responsible for preparing customer orders that grow our business, instilling and reinforcing safety above all else. We TEAM UP to deliver exact and damage-free orders. Your efforts as a Day Warehouse Selector are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

 

What You Bring to the Table

Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred.Lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc. Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred. Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred. 

 

Physical Requirements 

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23.09 and $28.09.
