Daycare Aide - Winter 2024/25

Location: Bend, Oregon

Mt. Bachelor strives to deliver Central Oregon’s most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors on a year-round basis. Mt. Bachelor’s 365 days of fun includes 4,300 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, Woodward Mountain Parks, a world-class Nordic Center, summer and fall downhill biking in the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park, Sun Country Tours (white water rafting), hiking, Sunset Dinners, Zip-Touring and chairlift-accessible sightseeing.
 

Daycare Aides are responsible for the care and supervision of children in the Daycare Center. Duties include assisting in activities, serving lunch, changing diapers in the infant and toddler rooms, leading snow play activities, cleaning the Daycare before, during and at the end of the day, and any additional duties that would normally be expected in a Daycare setting. Must have a Central Background Registry (CBR) Number. Please register at https://www.oregon.gov/delc/providers/pages/cbr.aspx

Note: this process can take a few moths to complete and is required of all Daycare Staff.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities  

Assisting in activities, serving lunch, changing diapers in the infant and toddler rooms, leading snow play activities, cleaning the Daycare before, during and at the end of the day, and any additional duties that would normally be expected in a Daycare setting.

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications: First Aid and child’s CPR (online training is not acceptable). Must complete a minimum of two hours of training regarding child abuse and neglect, OCC-approved health and safety training, and safe sleep training within 30 days of employment.  Technical: None Additional: A background check will be run prior to employment; Child Development and Education background a plus. 

Education/Related Experience

Current Hiring Rate: $16.00/hour.

Minimum Age Requirement: 15
