What you’ll do in the role:•Proven experience with IBM DB2 (LUW)
•Proficiency in SQL and scripting Language (e.g. Shell, Python)
•Strong understanding of Data Modelling, data warehousing concepts and database design principles in DB2
•Hands-on experience on writing stored procedures, efficient queries, making use of Cursors, worked on Temp tables to solve use cases, has supported object–relational features and non-relational structures like JSON and XML
•Experience in Database monitoring and Tunning using DB2 performance monitor, Event monitor, Explain, etc.
•Worked on third party utilities and tools like IBM Data studio, Aqua Data Studio or DBeaver etc.
•Experience in database utilities like Reorg, Runstat, Rebind, Load etc.
•Knowledge of Data integration, migration, and synchronization techniques in distributed environments
•Familiarity and hand-on with performance tuning
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to details
•Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with Technical and Non-technical stakeholders.
•Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
•Gather user requirements and identify new features.
•Provide data management support to users.
•Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
•Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols.

• At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
•In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
•Hands on experience with SQL
