The Sr. Claims Specialist will provide service strategy and integrated service management, claim consulting and advocacy services to Willis Towers Watson clients. This role will be dedicated to client(s) in the Government Contracting industry. The Sr. Claim Specialist will be responsible for the quality and consistency of products and services for assigned accounts with Defense Based Act claim exposures.

The Role
Implement an effective return to work program, within corporate policy and guidelines and work with all locations and departments to ensure adherence to program requirements and applicable leave laws. Aggressively manage open DBA claims to conclusion and control costs on new claims by working with Environment, Safety & Health (ESH), carriers and claims administrator. Directly handle clients as primary consultant including complex consulting and strategy Ensure quality and consistency in executing Best Practices Engage our global network of professionals as needed Appropriate utilization of all systems as required Work with others as necessary to continually improve quality and innovation Monitor the performance of trading partner’s services for your clients Support and assist each program in educating local management of the importance of timely claim reporting as well as managing injured associates to ensure understanding of and compliance with the claim process and return to work program. Support new business with sales presentations and RFP Participate in strategic large client meetings as required Manage the quality and appropriateness of client service agreements Maintain direct relationships with key clients Ensure appropriate program design and documentation - service scope aligns Ensure appropriate internal and client communications Work with corporate and program loss prevention to facilitate the exchange of information relative to new claims, and any loss trends or specific issues related to the job site.The Requirements
5+ years DBA or Workers Compensation claims experience; experience managing DBA claims preferred.High School diploma required; degree preferredAbility to create the most complex and successful strategies for risk mitigationPrior claims consulting experience with TPA, Carrier or Broker preferredKnowledge of claim handling & claim adjudication processes and proceduresUnderstand medical case management and cost containment programsKnowledge of laws, legal codes procedures and processes involving insuranceUnderstand company products, services, global network, and industry practicesUnderstand the basic process and value basic data analytics and benchmarkingAbility to communicate technical information orally and in writingAbility to analyze and provide concise conclusionsHandle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize to meet deadlinesBe self-motivated, able to work both independently and within a matrix team structureProject management skillsTime management skillsTravel required occasionallyCompensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $85,000-$102,000 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
