We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of DBS Control Tester

Role Purpose:

DBS CCO Testing team acts as an independent First Line of Defence (1LoD) function within the DBS CCO function. The DBS Control Tester role undertakes risk-based testing of controls processes within the DBS (Operations and DCOO), to provide comfort that the business is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, principles, and HSBC Group standards and policies and to ensure that DBS maintains adequate and effective controls. They also perform deep-dive and thematic reviews on issues, opportunities and/or strategic change and may also carry out Stress Testing exercises. The remit may range from a small geographic area/country to global for a Function or Global Business Line.Main Activities:Participating in execution of a wide range of control testing activities covering DBS Operations and DCOO functions (such as StrategicProcurement Services, Corporate Services)Timely delivery of control testing and being transparent and accurate in the completion of testing deliverablesEmbedding quality into the control testing deliverables and ensuring compliance with the CCO Control Testing Methodology Maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders including keeping abreast of key business, regulatory and industry developments and any changes to procedures and practicesSupporting the preparation of testing reports to inform key stakeholders of the outcome of testing and review work.Track and follow-up actions identified as a result of testing and review work and escalating when necessary.Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any supporting policies and procedures.
