Title: DC Associate 3/Truck Packer - B Shift

Reports to: Distribution Supervisor

Location: Winchester, VA

 

Job Summary

Provide daily support to distribution to drive production performance in areas of cost, productivity and service objectives.

General Duties

Check the In-Transit dock to find out what product is on the dock that can be used for orders Log in to the scanner Verify with Truck Pack Lead what is in the Roto schedule Pack orders and in between stack roto product, scan roto, put it away when necessary Help haul from In-transit to put away truck pack product or use product for orders When Foam is running, receive product and put it away Keep packing orders until you complete them for the shift Move product around that needs to be moved to make room for more product Do 6S – Empty trash and all cardboard Partner with Truck Pack Lead if the game the plan needs to change due to priorities vary based on dock killer’s request Train new associates in truck pack to ensure full understanding of truck pack product and process Report to Truck Pack Lead any goals and current progress Keep the truck pack area organized and clean Communicate to the Truck Team Lead any inventory discrepancies Restock caps when needed. Ask the Truck Team Lead if more need to be re-ordered Verify that the product coming to truck pack is quality acceptable and has the accurate SKU/label-barcode

Maintains a high level of enthusiasm, sense or responsibility, attention to detail and customer service for the continuous value improvement processes with all internal and external customers of the business. 

 

High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Previous Truck Pack or backup experience preferred Logistics, warehouse, or other distribution experience preferred Associate must be a team player that leads by example Associate must be open to new process improvements/changes while maintaining a positive attitude Must not be in any attendance steps while applying or while holding a console operator position. Any attendance steps incurred while holding this position will be reviewed by management to determine if reassignment is necessary Must not be in any disciplinary steps while applying for this position.  Any disciplinary steps beyond a written warning, while holding the position will be reviewed by management to determine if reassignment is necessary Must have good customer service skills
