Fort Payne, AlabamaJob Summary:Prepares items for shipment according to TCP standards pending upon department assignment.
Responsibilities:Key Accountabilities:Following guided procedures to ensure each shipment is processed according to TCP standardsEnsure that all packages are inspected for proper labeling and packagingIdentify and Notify Supervisor of any irregularities and assist in troubleshooting any shipping discrepanciesReceive cases using an automated conveyor system and/or radio frequency scannersCompare identifying information verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsPhysically palletize cases and systematically input data utilizing radio frequency scannersRoute items to departmentsDisperse merchandise to individual stores according to pick lightsPerform audits verifying sku quantityUse RF technology to complete cartons for stores and/or replace with new cartonPlace empty totes on the tote take away lineMaintain a clean and organized work areaProvide excellent customer service to delivery drivers as well as internal departments

Education and Experience:

Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focusRegularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
