Your New Role
The Sales & Marketing Group is responsible for 1.) driving revenue, margin, and market share across all channels of trade, 2.) expanding sources of income and delivering new revenue streams, and 3.) recruiting new readers with audience-appropriate campaigns and product formats.
Leveraging research, competitive market data, global economic trends, and retail analytics, the Revenue Growth Strategy MBA Intern will evaluate potential new sources of income for DC Comics and recommend an actionable plan for DC to reach new audiences globally.

DC Comics is a completely vertical business that sits in Bruce Campbell’s Strategy & Business Development organization. DC reports to Meg Maro, the executive vice president of Global Franchise who is responsible for DC, Wizarding World, and Looney Tunes among other key brands for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Your Role Accountabilities
Research and analyze how publishing can drive audience growth for the DC brand, focusing primarily on comics and other general publishing categories across a myriad of demographics.
Analyze successful comic and general book publishers across different genres and understand their mix of revenue sources. Then, compare those results to DC's own revenue mix, and highlight gaps in strategy.
Discover global demand for various reading formats and the demographic of readers engaging in various content and formats.
Highlight a list of potential content and retail partners that would allow DC to reach new and/or adjacent reading audiences.
Interview and work with key stakeholders within DC and broader WBD divisions to gain perspective and develop your recommended strategy, including research, retail analytics, editorial, distribution, and of course sales and marketing.
Present your findings and final recommendations to key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a quantitative field (Economics, Social Science, Finance, Business)
Experience in data analytics, sales or market analysis or related field preferred
Experience with business intelligence tools recommended (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
Understanding of KPIs, sales metrics, business case development required
Ability to work with and interpret data to produce actionable insights and make recommendations to key stakeholders across the company
Must be actively enrolled in a U.S.-accredited college or university MBA degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a 1st year MBA student
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above cumulative GPA)
All 2025 MBA interns will be selected from the attendees of the in-person (held in Burbank, CA) OR Virtual MBA Trek. All eligible applicants must attend the trek.

Option #1: 6/2/2025- 8/15/2025
Option #2: 6/9/2025- 8/22/2025
Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
The recruiting process will take place from November through February. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $45 per hour USD for MBA Interns.
