DC Operations Specialist (eCommerce) - EM South

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
South African DC team is responsible for Distribution Center (DC) and outbound partners performance. Forecast and Planning, drive and supports operations fulfilment for outbound & returns and measure / analyze DC performance by implementing and analyzing relevant reports and KPIs. Owning the planning and execution of Store Openings and Campaigns. The DC controller ensures a smooth, transparent, and robust connection between all relevant stakeholders from inside and outside of the organization regarding work- and information flow.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•Coordinate the ecommerce operations via management of the existing 3rd Party Logistics Provider (3PL); DC and Outbound Providers.
•Accountable for eCommerce Supply Chain Management performance.
•Responsible to align B2C: Inbound, Outbound & Return Forecasts with business and stakeholders, translate these into an execution plan, track and monitor accuracy and analyze trends.
•In close cooperation with 3PL, plan and align the warehouse capacity for outbound & returns for business
•Monitor and report on all inventory areas particularly ecommerce, measuring accuracies and losses to the agreed contract SLA’s and KPIs
•Own the planning and monitoring of campaigns and events (especially Cyber Planning & Holiday Readiness)
•Identifies cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within the logistics and/or business unit and aligns with leadership on implementation strategy
•Ensure a meaningful and robust daily monitoring and audit of the order flow. Follow up on fulfilment requests, complains and incidents. Provide feedback to stakeholder and requestors in a detailed and timely manner.
•Own SLA update and control all appropriate operational and management reports and dashboards for assigned business and operations processes Closely follow up on enhancements and drive SLA Achievements, for DC operations
•Coordinates project work-flow from various cross-functional partners, project manage and ensure all projects launch on time

•Expert in Last mile delivery, reverse logistics & ecommerce.
•Expert in Warehousing and Distribution.
•Expert in International freight & customs.
•Experience in transformation (ex: Direct to Consumer, Supply Chain, eCommerce).
•Strong leadership skills.
•Strong analytical skills and data driven decision making.
•Ability to deliver good results under pressure, accepting and meeting critical deadlines.
•Ability to challenge the status-quo.
•Ability to act as a catalyst in Change Management projects/initiatives.

•English speaking and writing.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
•Degree Level Qualification in Engineering (Industrial Engineering) or Supply Chain.
•Master/Post-degree certifications in Supply Chain Management and/or Project Management and/or Engineering are preferred.
•2 - 3 years of experience in Ecommerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Project management, Retail Operations.
•Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, ERP/SAP, WMS.
•Excellent skills in communication and negotiation.
