DC Assistant Shipping Supervisor Description Summary of Key Responsibilities: Shipping Assistant Supervisor Hours: 10:45am - 7:30pm + OT as needed. Steel or Composite toe Shoes/Boots Required + Will be certified to use a Ride along Electric Pallet Jack and other PITs as needed. + Will be trained in all department functions and processes + The Distribution Center Assistant Supervisor is responsible for helping coordinate and supervise all activities performed by Distribution Center employees under their charge daily. In the absence of the Distribution Center Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of the job tasks within their department: + Assist in training, assigning, and directing work. Assist in addressing complaints and resolving employee issues + Assist in the supervision and coordination of the functions of departments in an orderly manner to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity + Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, maintaining the security of the Distribution Center + Ensure outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage + Coordinate activities related to shipping, picking, and packing of inventory and non-inventory items. Assist with any inventory corrections needed as discovered throughout the workday + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Able to work overtime as needed. + Able to meet deadlines. + Excellent attendance record required. Requirements: + High School or GED + 2+ years of experience in a leadership position in a warehouse environment + Ability to effectively communicate with and lead co-workers + Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks. + Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
