Data Center SSD (DC SSD) team at Micron India is growing and is working to develop DC SSD drive out of India.  DC SSD in Micron India has teams both in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This is Engineering Director, Firmware role for enterprise SSD FW development. This role will lead DC SSD Firmware function/functions and responsible for architecture, design and development of DC SSD drives. Leader will work with firmware, controller architecture, validation, PDT and all cross functional teams to DC  SSD drives.

Responsibilities:

Lead function/functions in DC SSD FirmwareWork with architecture, simulation, development, validation, ODT and all cross functional teams to plan and deliver Firmware as per planWork with all cross functional teams to plan and lead DC SSD programsPlanning would include bottoms up planning and execute in agile framework with milestone and exit criteriaHave good understanding of SSD architecture and design to identify risk and develop mitigations to deliver as per planShould be able to keep commonality across different programs and sites by asking/looking  for  itShould be able to hire best in class team, retain  & motivate them with to build high quality teamsShould be able to understand technical details and work as technical leader along with team

Engineering director should have following qualification:

Strong DC SDD knowledge in areas of FE, FTL and BE FirmwareShould have worked and managed design/development/SSD Firmware/developmentHands-on-experience in as many areas as possible: NVME, FTL, NAND media(SLC, MLC, TLC QLC), controller designShould have worked on development products grounds upStrong written and verbal communication skillAbility and track record to work across teams and geographyBS/MS in computer science or related and experience of at-least 20 years of experienceShould have managed multiple teams
