This is an entry level position for a candidate with experience writing SQL queries. They need help preparing for a data conversion.

Job Description:

•Assists with data collection from field locations to support data conversion process. Analyzes gathered data to be sure all aspects of data conversion requirements are met. Inputs gathered data into existing database to support data conversion scripts.

•Uses Microsoft Access to build conversion tables from existing application database structure to match new application database structure using requirements documents and existing database documentation. Analyzes requirements documents for ongoing changes and integrates changes into conversion tables/scripts. Confers with supervisor and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of data input and output requirements. Generates and documents SQL queries to maximize automated conversion from old database to new database.

•Develops test cases and scripts for data conversion validation. Prepares test data.

•Analyzes and writes report requirements documents for converting existing reports to new system.

•Participates in development planning meetings. Participates in user testing and provides feedback on new application.
