DCI reserving actuary

KEY OBJECTIVE

The position will be supporting actuarial analysis, portfolio management, support pricing initiatives, estimating and monitoring loss reserving, managing actuarial books and supporting closing process for the DCI portfolio in Latin America. 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Portfolio Review and Pricing Performing annual portfolio review along with UW team Monthly monitoring Monitoring rate adequacy  Recommending business plan loss ratios Price monitor report Support pricing strategies as need it Support CAT team with link of the results into the portfolio strategy Reserving Perform loss reserve reviews – includes estimating prior and current accident year ultimates /ultimate loss ratios. Monitor actual versus expected loss emergence - monthly Input, monitor and verification of loss ratio inputs as recorded in the forecast P&L and Balance. Monitor and manage reserving actuarial books Support actuarial process in reserving activities Monitor data quality and recommend improvements to data capture and processing Liaise with global and local actuaries Complete ad-hoc assignments Prepare, submit, analyze Reinsurance data

 REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of pricing/reserving/portfolio management experience in Latin America Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related fields Strong communication (written and oral) and analytical skills; capable to influence decisions and develop key relationships within the region and overall Group; excellent “problem solving” attitude Spanish and English skills are required MS Excel, SQL, Python, R skills are ideal Radar/ResQ will be a plus.
