About this opportunity:
The Operations Technology Team is currently looking for DCS Systems Administrator to join our Sunrise team!
The role of DCS Systems Administrator is to provide Level 1 support of on-site industrial control system (ICS) and break fix of critical control system components at our Sunrise asset to maintain system health.
Work Environment:

The shift schedule is as follows: 11 hrs. 25 mins per day and 5 hrs. 45 mins on the first and last day; 8 days on and 6 days off
Sunrise is located approximately 100 km northeast of the City of Fort McMurray and is a fly in/fly out remote camp-based position.
Cenovus will provide transportation to Sunrise from designated hubs out of Calgary and Edmonton
At the Sunrise site, employees will be provided comfortable camp accommodations and recreational amenities.
What you’ll do:
Responsible for the on-site health monitoring, high system availability, preventative maintenance, and break fix of the following: (DCS, PLC, SIS Hardware and Software: Delta V, Rockwell)
Power User for OT Technology Control System Infrastructure: Virtualization (Hyper V & VMWare); Domains; and Virtual Desktops & Applications
Networking and Security: This includes basic Cisco configuration; industrial networks; ethernet IP; and Modbus
Cyber Security Operations: Patch management and disaster recovery plans
Technology & Lifecycle Management: Maintain Installed Inventory Database and parts management
Knowledge Transfer: Provide appropriate levels of documentation to support the repeatability of OT tasks and assist in skill development and knowledge transfer of team members.
Collaborate: Partner with external stakeholders, such as Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to support implementation of MOCs, new projects, and technologies.
Safety: Responsible to participate in emergency response, continuity, and recovery; and actively participate in Cenovus safety programs and abide by safety policies
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
8 years of experience as a Professional Engineer or Technologist in the Instrumentation, Automation, and Control System field
Proven expertise in Engineering, Commissioning, Operation, and Maintenance functions of production facilities.
Demonstrated design, implementation, and operational knowledge of integrated plant control systems (Delta V, Rockwell)
Experience with work management systems (SAP, Service-Now)
An understanding of cost initiatives in the Automation function (i.e., comparing Capital and Operational costs)
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
