Deal Operations Lead, Private Pricing Analytics and Insights (PPA&I)

The Private Pricing Analytics and Insights (A&I) team is a critical part of enabling the AWS Private Pricing business to achieve the highest standards of excellence for WW Commercial Operations. This role, based in North America, supports operations for strategic customer engagements on private pricing deals including pipeline management, engagement performance reporting, and forecasting. Success in this role is becoming a trusted advisor to global engagement leads, using data and insights to guide strategic decision-making and looking around corners to get ahead of forthcoming opportunities and challenges.
As a member of the broader Private Pricing Analytics & Insights team you will partner with Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Development Engineers to shape the use of data and technology to improve the scale, velocity and quality of private pricing operations for external customers and internal stakeholders.
A successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, with the most senior levels of AWS leadership, and across other geographies. You are highly motivated and self-sufficient in consistently weaving data and anecdotes into clear stories that guide day-to-day and longer term operational thinking.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead sales executive discussions to share insights, challenge status quo, and provide forward looking recommendations to enable strategic decision making and growth of Private Pricing.
• Support senior engagement leadership in managing pipelines, forecasting engagement outcomes, and strategic planning for operations
• Develop a deep understanding of sales metrics, reporting tools, and data structures in order to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop, and propose new metrics, dashboards, scorecards or new tools.
• Develop relationships and processes with sales, finance, sales operations, and other functional teams
• Create and evolve operational procedures and processes to optimize pipeline management.
• Generate ad-hoc analysis and reports with actionable recommendations based on the needs of the stakeholders, through ad-hoc data retrieval and analysis from data management systems,
• Identify opportunities to improve existing tooling and reporting, and coordinate across a diverse set of stakeholders to improve and evolve these assets

The Private Pricing team is instrumental in driving deal strategy, structuring, negotiations, and execution of private deals. Private Pricing deals consist of large, strategic, or highly competitive commercial agreements with customers.
