Job Description & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the development of a power generation project. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing key aspects of the project, ensuring timely completion, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, financial performance monitoring and reporting, solid technical knowledge of energy infrastructure projects (with a focus on power generation) and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including visits to Project Sites.

Typical activities would include –

Support in undertaking initial project feasibility assessments, including site selection, technology evaluation, and preliminary financial modeling

Allocate internal resources to form bid development teams

Bid governance, planning (schedules, milestones), and cost control

Ensure adherence to quality control standards and change management processes

Act as a central point of communication and coordination between different project teams and stakeholders.

Monitor, control and report on project changes to key internal and external stakeholders

Prepare reports to key internal and external stakeholders on key bidding and award-related activities, including but not limited to bid solicitation, evaluation, shortlisting, and award recommendation etc.

Create and maintain project documentation including project plans, schedules, risk registers and status reports

Manage document revisions and ensure that team members can access the latest revisions of necessary documents

Coordinate financial close activities (scheduling, task completion, resource allocation, quality control)

Support in the finalization of project agreements (PPA, PD, EIA, SLA, etc.) 

Set up of Special Purpose Vehicles

Obtaining regulatory approvals and permits

Support SPV governing bodies’ representatives 

Manage project level equity and debt transactions

Oversee contractual obligations

Manage asset protection and insurance claims

Manage SPV distribution (dividends, fees, EBLs, etc.)

Monitor and manage asset performance

Identify project synergies and integrate project operations with wider portfolio of projects

Typical knowledge and attributes required for this role –

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, in the power generation sector.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
