A career in our Sustainability Strategy Consulting practice, within Strategy & Value Creation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help clients seize essential advantages by working alongside business leaders to solve their toughest problems and capture their greatest opportunities. Using a strategic and quantitative-based approach, you will support companies and investment funds in transforming their business models and value chains toward a sustainable economy, while strengthening their economic value and resilience over the medium and long term. We help create sustainable change by stimulating innovation, navigating risk and regulatory complexity, optimising deals, and aligning sustainability with business strategy to create a competitive advantage.In a young, dynamic and international environment with colleagues who specialize in different disciplines, you will be involved in developing solutions for achieving the ambitious, but much-needed, global sustainable development targets in 2030 and 2050.
Your Perspectives
You will accompany companies and investors and support them in the following activities:
Identifying key regulatory and market drivers and intercepting potential risks and opportunities that could affect corporate operations;
With the support of quantitative data, building ad hoc business cases to calculate the economic impact of ESG initiatives on corporate business;
Assess through a materiality approach the relevance of ESG issues with respect to their potential environmental, social and economic impacts, risks and opportunities;
Integrating of ESG issues within 3-5 year strategies and business plans;
Supporting the design of innovative business models related to the launch of new products or services linked to ESG aspects;
Support to asset managers in conducting ESG Due Diligence;
Enhancement of ESG variables in the context of extraordinary transactions (e.g. IPOs, etc.).
Responsibilities
As an Intern / Trainee, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
You are a graduate or about to graduate in Economics or Engineering; however, candidate from other backgrounds will also be considered.
A specialization in Sustainability will be preferred;
Strong motivation towards sustainability-related issues and you are up-to-date on developments in this area;
Fluent Italian and English (preference for study or work experience abroad);
Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts and other information;
Produce high quality work which adheres to the relevant professional standards;
Handle, manipulate and analyze data and information responsibly;
You have initiative and tend to solve problems with innovative solutions;
Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner - verbally and in materials produced;
Willingness to travel for work in Italy or abroad;
Excellent knowledge of the Office package (PowerPoint and Excel);
Embrace different points of view and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas;
