Position Title Dean, Workforce Education and Academic Outreach-Restricted to Internal Candidates Department Campus Admin-Service Area Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Summary of Position The Dean is responsible for all Adult and non-credit workforce programs in the Central Texas College taxing district and the adult and credit and non-credit workforce and academic programs in the 13 County Service Area. Program oversight and responsibility includes career, dual credit, personal enrichment, and continuing education courses, both credit and non-credit for all the communities and Independent School Districts in that geographic area, and prison programs. Responsible for all grants operated in the areas of responsibility.   In this role the employee is responsible for supporting and contributing to the institution’s strategic priorities 1 – Enhance Student Success, 2 – Promote growth and improvement of instructional programs, technology, and learning environments 3 – Continuous assessment and improvement of operations and services, & 5-Support and serve our local and worldwide community.

Minimum Required Education Master’s Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required. Minimum Required Experience Five years full time experience in managing of college instructional programs, community education programs, or education-related grant programs. Must have 3 years of supervisory experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have excellent verbal and writing skills and knowledge of requirements and methods for the delivery of academic, vocational, non-credit, and grant programs. Must be discreet in all matters; and have a pleasant personality, and work well with others. Ability to forecast, seek out opportunities, and respond to workforce and community educational and training needs locally and in the Service Area, marketing to and interacting with the public to include individuals, groups, organizations, businesses and college personnel. Experience in the areas of public relations, finance, grants, contracts, academic advisement, and scheduling of classes and implementing programs. Must possess working knowledge of both the academic and vocational aspects of College education programs and non-credit and grant programs. Capable of articulating the policies of the institution, adhering to contractual requirements and meeting deadlines. Working knowledge of Texas Public Community College Operations Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Leadership and supervisory skills
