Overview Job Title: **Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician** Job Summary Dean|Fluor is looking for a skilled, licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician with a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical systems working with low to high voltage systems. Works with TTO project managers to complete various projects. Key Responsibilities + Install conduit, electrical equipment and fixtures in commercial and industrial settings. + Test and troubleshoot all installed equipment and wiring using diagnostic tools such as voltmeter, megger, phase rotation meters etc. + Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of electrical systems. + Work with low, medium and high voltage systems. + Provide support for electrical infrastructure installations. + Safely utilize power tools and maintain a clean work environment. + Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals. + Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70 NEC, and local codes. + Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools. + Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure personal and team safety. + Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience + **Minimum of 4 years as a Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician in a commercial/industrial environment** . + Familiarity with electrical installation and repair tasks. + Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols. + Proficiency in using various power tools and electrical equipment. + Experience in working with conduit installations. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. + High school diploma or GED and an Electrical Journeyman license. + Must be capable of achieving and maintaining TS/SCI security clearance. + Ability to lift and work with equipment over six feet and work in confined spaces. Skills + Proficient in reading and interpreting technical instructions, plans, and schematic diagrams. + Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 NEC standards. + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision. + Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective scheduling skills in a dynamic environment. + Compliance with all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements. Additional Information + Lifting and physical exertion are required for this position. + Required to perform other assignments as needed. **ABILITIES:** + Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time. + Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance. + Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. + Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. + Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English. + May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. + Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. + Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. + Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). + See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). + Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
