Start your new career as a Debatcher Operator with MAU at Milliken in Pendleton, SC. As a Debatcher Operator, you will operate high-speed debatching machines to cut fabric, inspect and grade fabric for defects, use the BARCO inspection system to record and grade defects, receive training in defect recognition and system operation, and collaborate with the team to learn position responsibilities.
The MAU Anderson Branch (2923 N. Main St., Suite B, Anderson, SC 29621) offers walk-in hours Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
What We Offer: Pay of $14.44 - $16.81 based on the shift Multiple shifts available First shift: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Third shift: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM 10-hour fixed shifts, no rotation What We’re Looking For: Basic computer proficiency Strong team collaboration skills Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills to daily tasks Ability to wear safety goggles when using air hoses to protect eyes from debris and pressure Ability to wear gloves when handling metal or wood to prevent injury from sharp edges and splinters Ability to wear steel-toe shoes when moving A-frames to protect feet from heavy or falling objects Ability to wear earplugs in designated areas to protect hearing from loud machinery and noise What You’ll Do as a Debatcher Operator: Safely operate high-speed debatching machines to cut fabric to customer specifications Visually inspect and grade fabric for defects according to customer specifications when the automated system is unavailable Utilize the BARCO inspection system to record defects and grade fabric for shipment Receive comprehensive training in visual defect recognition, classification, and operation of the BARCO inspection terminal in both automated and manual settings Collaborate closely with team members and "on-the-job trainers" to learn position expectations and responsibilities Cross-train on various high-speed debatching machines and in the use of the BARCO inspection terminal Cross-train for in-line fabric inspection Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
