Skills and CompetenciesProficiency in econometric and statistical packages, such as STATA, EViews, Matlab, SPSS, AMPL, etc.Preferred:Understanding or experience developing monetization mechanismsExperience applying stochastic methods to modelling economic concepts and systems.Excellent critical thinking and analytical skillsGood understanding of Web3, blockchain technology, digital assets, smart contracts, Defi, Metaverse, and other related concepts Experience in applying analytical methods, such as statistical analysis, modelling, forecasting, and simulation.Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, etc.Applied knowledge of behavioral economics and understanding of economic mechanisms and simulation of user behaviorPostgraduate research in economics - published works, and research in scientific journals and repositories

EducationStudent studying towards a PhD or Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance or in a quantitative science field (including Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics) with an economics concentration or experience.Graduation date of December 2025 - June 2027Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025

ResponsibilitiesDevelop knowledge of Blockchain token economy, digital/crypto asset markets, and decentralized finance (DeFi)Assist in projects to design novel economic and crypto-economic frameworks based on identified problems in the evolving digital finance industry.Support research on existing tokenomics in the market, token operating models, applications, usability, ecosystem designs (token issuance, implementation, etc.), strategies used for tokens introduction on the secondary market (CEX, DEX), post-issuance controls, etc.Contribute to designing and running simulations for stress testing and backtesting of platform token's risk parameters; and analyse on-chain and market data through various analytics and data science tools to draw conclusions on the market.Research and support mapping of well-explored economic mechanisms and models to prepare easy-to-digest analyses around token mechanisms on specific protocols and ecosystems for internal (and external) stakeholders. About the Program

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35 an hour, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
