Decision Support Forecast Anly - Finance - Full Time
Summary The Financial Decision Support Analyst will play a critical role in the analysis, preparation, and compilation of rolling quarterly financial forecasts, operating plan and productivity variance analysis, and special projects. This position will provide financial consulting and strategic support to leadership including financial presentations and other projects requested by leadership and business partners. In addition to the analytical tasks, this role will also be responsible for building relationships and communicating complex financial topics to accounting and non-accounting staff. The Analyst will work closely with others in Finance, Administration, Providers, and the Business Office to provide in-depth analysis of performance to the forecast. Experience Two years of financial analytics, budgeting, or decision support experience or experience of a relevant nature. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Healthcare and experience desirable. Education, License & Cert: + A Baccalaureate Degree or degree from an accredited college or university; OR + An Associate Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of work experience; OR + A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience Essential Functions + Actively participates in annual planning and quarterly rolling forecasting processes, assisting leaders across the organization with resource planning + Studies, collects, analyzes, and organizes large amounts of data in Decision Support Systems. + Identify current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, staffing, expenses, and capital expenditures + Analyzes variances in forecasts and benchmarks, advising management when targets are not achieved + Develop forecast models and financial analysis for strategic initiatives inclusive of business cases and process improvement opportunities + Data analytics and metric benchmarking for all Guthrie entities. + Understand and update key department operating assumptions to ensure targets are appropriate for operations of department. + Work closely with ERP, IT, and EMR teams to ensure data flow and accuracy, and to assist in issue identification and problem-solving efforts + Build cross- functional relationships with senior managers and corporate department, regional and clinical leaders + Other duties as assigned.
