Koniag IT Systems (KITS) is seeking a Declassification Analyst to support our client in Springfield, Va. The Declassification Analyst is responsible for conducting 25-year Automatic Declassification reviews in accordance with established guidelines and regulations. This role involves evaluating classified documents to determine their eligibility for declassification, ensuring compliance with national security protocols, and maintaining accurate records of declassification decisions. **Essntial Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:** **Declassification Support:** + Conduct thorough reviews of classified documents that are subject to 25-year Automatic Declassification. + Evaluate the content of documents to determine if they meet the criteria for declassification. + Ensure compliance with national security regulations and guidelines during the declassification process. + Maintain accurate and detailed records of declassification decisions and actions taken. + Collaborate with other departments and agencies to obtain necessary information and approvals for declassification. + Identify and flag documents that require further review or special handling. + Prepare reports and summaries of declassification activities for management and oversight bodies. + Stay updated on changes in declassification policies, procedures, and regulations. **Position Requirements:** **Skills:** + Minimum of [3] years of experience in declassification, records management, or a related field. + Strong understanding of national security regulations and declassification guidelines. + Excellent analytical and research skills. + Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency in using declassification and records management software. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with classified documents in a government or military setting. + Knowledge of specific declassification policies and procedures relevant to the agency or organization. **Clearance:** + Top Secret and Q Clearance **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in history, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field. **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
