EXPERIENCE:
• Prefer the equivalent experience as a process engineer with demonstrated success in throughput improvement, problem shooting, surface analysis, materials characterization, new technology development or cost reduction in development & manufacturing processes.
Position Summary:
Focus is to participate in development and implementation of decorative technologies. Specifically, these responsibilities include:
• Participate in developing and implementing manufacturing processes decoration process, including screen printing, inkjet printing, spray coating or other physically coating processes on substrate surface for different products.
• Support experimentation of process development for new decoration lines and fundamental understandings.
• Support the effort for improvement of existing production line. ex. cycle time reduction, quality/yield improvement, new product introducing, identify low cost manufacturing opportunities that maintain the specified quality level.
• Support Transfer and scale up the technology to divisions and manufacturing plants with full implementation of training and documentation systems (Standard Operation Procedures, PCPD, FMEA, MSDS, Rosh and Training)
• Perform effective communication with interdisciplinary teams internal and external to ensure execution of projects.
• Plan and execute project with project management skill effectively.
• Job requires periodic travel to Corning Incorporated and supplier’s locations in Asia and USA for process development for new products, new operation and process improvement projects.

• Experience in field work to deliver decoration related processes (new line installation/throughput improvement) to manufacturing plants.
• Hands on knowledge of glass surface properties, ink/paste formulations, surface characterization and different decoration technologies, such as screen printing and inkjet printing.
• Project management & Engineering skills, such as Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies.
Unique / Special Requirements:
• Travel required during process development, installation, debug, and startup as well as for routine interaction with internal customers and supplier. Estimated ~ 70%.
