Shift: 6:00 PM Start - Thursday through Monday

Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour.

Position Summary: 

As a Dedicated Dispatcher for Pyle you will be the point of contact on your shift for communicating Dedicated driver needs and changes. You will also be responsible for driving a day cab tractor pulling a 53’ Van or Reefer trailer carrying groceries to various locations in VA, DC and North Carolina as needed.

The dispatch responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Dispatching drivers in TMW system; managing assigned driver schedules  Making sure that drivers show up for assigned start time so they can meet customers cut times Being the point of contact on your shift for communicating LTL driver needs and changes Interacting with customers shipping team Ensuring drivers are following PYLE SOPS (fuel at the end of shift, DVIR, accurate paperless logs)   Completing deliveries to location(s) based on daily manifest as well as picking up potential returns, as needed

The driver qualifications for the position include, but are not limited to:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License Minimum 1 year of recent tractor trailer experience  Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card Must be at least 21 years of age or older  No more than three moving violations and or accidents within the last three years, subject to review Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English 

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

HS Diploma or equivalent Good computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft desired Ability to solve problems Good communication skills; excellent attention to detail and decision making skills Team oriented with good interpersonal skills; demonstrates initiative

The following skillsets are preferred:

LTL, Dedicated transportation, or Warehouse Operations background Prior dispatch and routing experience along with 1 year of Class A driving experience
