Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is growing!  RVS is a world leader in Advanced Packaging and Materials Research and Development.  We have an immediate opportunity for a talented, Silicon Etch Engineer with DRIE experience to join our 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group - a world leader in Advanced Packaging and Materials Research and Development. This is an opportunity to contribute to a team developing cutting-edge solutions for RF devices and EO imaging systems by leveraging 3D integration technologies and state of the art materials. What You Will Do: 

Supporting fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in Reactive Ion Etching processes for the 200mm product line.Dry etch of dielectrics (oxides, nitrides, etc.) and organicsTaking ownership and responsibility for maintaining/optimizing all Dry Etch equipment (5 tools and growing)Research new suppliers/technologies for improving production, quality, and throughput – drive selection / install / qualification of new etch platformsMaintaining current processes, optimizing existing processes, and training in safe / efficient operations of the Dry Etch process cellMaintain statistical process controls for process optimization; troubleshoot and resolve Etch issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve process yieldsWorking with a diverse team of technicians and engineers in an ISO-Class 5 wafer fabrication clean roomWork with R&D teams to develop creative solutions / approaches for new devices designs and advanced packaging architectures.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM related degree and a minimum of 8 years DRIE related experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of DRIE related experience.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Experience with sustaining existing Etch processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment Demonstrated ability of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitaskingThorough sense of process / tool ownership, drive, and dedication to continuous improvementExperience showing ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve processesExcellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructionsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
