Responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting press setups, and supporting quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements:
Associates degree preferred or equivalent education, experience, and training
Three (3) years of technical training and quality auditing/inspection experience preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to interpret and write from technical or functional specifications
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with tire building and curing processes
Understanding of scrap classification and repair methods
Knowledge of DOT test wheel operations
Job Responsibilities:
Identify, cut, and enter cured scrap into records
Classify and repair defective tires
Perform “first piece” checks during mold start-ups
Troubleshoot press setups for shaping and closing cycle accuracy
Double-check and provide training to press loaders
Analyze scrap causes using press chart data and root cause analysis
Write and distribute temporary specifications as needed
Create serial tins for unscheduled mold changes
Monitor overnight DOT testing on the test wheel
Communicate findings and quality issues to technical and production teams
Track serial changes and complete weekly press shaping checks
Execute additional duties as assigned within the department
Pay Details: $38,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year
