Key Responsibilities

Zero defect methodology and troubleshoot at Applied's CoW hybrid bonding R&D center

Work on defectivity-related problems of wet and dry chambers and processes. Design systematic partition experiments, collect and analyze defectivity data, and identify particle sources and areas of improvement to meet defectivity requirements.

Work closely with process team to improve process adders through process optimization.

Propose and validate solutions to meet cleanliness roadmap and next generation defectivity requirements. Trigger and drive a multi-functional defect improvement team (engineering, process, & hardware) to prototype and implement solution.

Develop particle troubleshoot SoP and fan out to the entire global hybrid bonding team (both product and fields). Document defectivity learnings in database. Transfer learnings to field teams and new team members through tutorial sessions. Lead defectivity improvement projects at CoW hybrid bonding R&D center.

Defectivity subject-matter expect to support/guide field teams on defectivity troubleshoot.

Functional Knowledge

Hands-on experience in defectivity inspection, particle troubleshoot, and improvement is essential. Expertise is highly desirable.

Understanding the principles, methodologies, and practical applications of common defectivity characterization techniques (such as SP2/3, AOI, SEM, EDS, airborne particle counter, TXRF etc.) is needed.

Backgrounds of any processing technologies in plasma, wet clean, thermal anneal, or WoW or CoW bonding is a plus.
