Defense Contracts Specialist

The Defense Contract Specialist is responsible for overseeing all contracts functions and agreements; pre-award, quoting, negotiations and post-award transactions relating to the processing of U.S. Government solicitations or RFQ (Request for Quote)

What will you be responsible for:

Research Government sites for new open solicitations, including working with GOV agencies for continuous updated material.Review of all new RFQs and RFPs for special requirements prior to the processing of the vendor quote.Receive written quote from Sr. Defense Contract Administrator.Electronically file bids to GOV buying commands.Coordinate with GOV buying commands for amendments to solicitations, when required.Coordinate with GOV buying commands regarding the issuance of contract modifications.Maintain all open GOV quote folders.Work cooperatively with other members of the Defense group to ensure the highest service level possible.This includes actively participating in group meetings/project teams and consistently striving to improve the organization.Ensure that department procedures are understood and followed.All other duties assigned.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Familiarity with Government regulations FAR DFARS- Preferred

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
