The Defense Software Engineer I will implement, execute, develop, and test software architecture. The role will provide software configuration updates, troubleshooting, and testing. The role will work under general supervision and receive instruction, guidance, and support from others on the team to write code, script, and documentation for vehicle systems integration using knowledge of Application Programming Interface (API), coding languages, and layers of software development while continuing to further develop their software engineering skills and competencies.

As a Defense Software Engineer l, you will:

Develop and execute in-vehicle software architecture with the teamDocument and test software integration solutionsAssist in evaluating and recommending software technology and languageTo be considered as a Software Engineer l, you will need:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experienceU.S. CitizenKnowledge of software technology architecture and configurationKnowledge of software languages, technologies, methodologies, API's, database, and Pub/SubKnowledge of Agile Process methodologiesKnowledge of multi-system integration, Internet of Things (IOT), web app development, and distributed systems integrationKnowledge of best practices in documentation of software and software development.Ability to develop in C, C++, PythonA successful candidate may also have:Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical fieldExperience with In-Vehicle Software architecture and designExperience in software development, configuration, and testing and developing and writing requirements definitionsExperience with Agile Process methodologiesExperience with the engineering and integration of military ground vehicle electronics systems and subsystemsKnowledge of Vetronics systems and applicationUnderstanding of business processes: creation, refinement, and gap analysesAbility to interface with software, network, and hardware development & integration teamsDetail-oriented with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologiesAbility to develop in QT
