Who You’ll Work With:
As the lead strategist supporting Bernstein’s Defined Contribution plan sponsor and participant communications, you will collaborate with product, sales, and service teams to understand sponsor needs and create and implement effective campaigns that support the retirement participant experience from initial conversion and enrollment through ongoing engagement and offboarding. Partnership with our 17 regional retirement specialists will be important— to understand their books of retirement plan business and determine how each client can leverage the engagement model based on specific plan needs and criteria.
You will be responsible for defining a best-practice communication strategy to maximize client value through retirement program adoption, and then deliver on that strategy. The focus is to create and deliver leading engagement programs, leveraging the best of Bernstein Wealth capabilities and retirement wellness tools, to drive successful participant outcomes. In addition, you will evolve/maintain the library of best practice participant communications ensuring the inventory remains current, compliant, and relevant. Collaboration with product and sales and service team partners is critical, along with an understanding of sponsor needs for employee communications.
What You’ll Do:
The Lead Strategist will be responsible for owning and maintaining the 401(k) participant experience by setting and driving the strategy and communication needs and voice across all media. They will create and implement effective campaigns that support the retirement participant experience from initial conversion and enrollment through ongoing engagement and offboarding. The Lead Strategist will develop engagement offerings and processes that are scalable to fit the client's existing and future needs, and partner with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors. They will work with regional retirement specialists and their clients to curate custom education campaigns, coordinate with the marketing team to develop and deliver communication programs, and measure and assess adoption rates and impact of all efforts. The Lead Strategist will communicate with key stakeholders on a regular basis, support critical strategic initiatives and technology enhancements as required, and maintain a strong working knowledge of the financial wellness space and competitor approaches to communication.
What We’re Looking For:
BA/BS degree required
Minimum 3+ years, retirement and 401(k) plan communication strategy experience preferred
Effective project management skills with ability to multitask
Strong communicator and collaborator
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent listening and profiling skills
Strong knowledge of investment trends, DC marketplace, and advisor best practices
Motivated teammate with strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously ensuring on time delivery
Holds the 7 & 63 Licenses

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows: Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000. Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
