GEICO is seeking two DEI Business Partners to lead our Employee Engagement/ERG and Operations teams efforts! DEI Business Partners serve as links between company DEI strategy, business functions, and partnerships outside of the business. These roles focus on the integration of DEI principles into day-to-day operations, fostering equity and inclusion, and driving engagement across the organization. Each business partner oversees a portfolio of responsibilities determined by the overarching and continually evolving DEI Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage project management and change management skills in the execution of various programs (e.g. Employee Resource Groups, Social Impact & Philanthropy, Supplier Diversity, HR & People Strategy, etc).Serve as the connector between the business and DEI; must have solid communication and influence skills to encourage buy-in from leadership.Collaborate with business leaders to understand DEI needs and priorities within their respective units.Provide guidance in the creation and implementation of DEI strategies and best practices within the organization.Serve as subject matter experts to problem solve on DEI policies, procedures, and standards; this requires an appetite for emerging trends, current events, and relevant research.Monitor and analyze DEI metrics and data to track progress, identify themes, and inform decision making.Conduct systematic equity and inclusion audits across the business and foster a sense of urgency and accountability.Support the development and execution of communications initiatives and regular reporting to promote awareness of impact.Act as a coach, resource, and advocate for DEI topics across the business, influence decision makers, and build their DEI acumen.Serve as a member of the DEI Leadership Team, contribute to overall vision and strategy, align efforts with business priorities.Collaborate with external partners and peers across the industry through events and conferences to share best practices for advancing DEI.Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of successful track record managing organizational diversity initiatives.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.3-5 years of demonstrative experience in providing strategy and thought leadership within areas of workplace Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Culture.Data-driven decision maker with excellent communication, program management and organizational skills, with an attention to detail.Ability to network, engage, and work collaboratively in a variety of ways and with a broad range of stakeholders within the organization.Demonstrated effectiveness managing diverse stakeholders including but not limited to Executives, ERG members, external vendors and consultants.#LI-EW1
