Position: Residential Delegating RN Schedule: Monday-Friday – 12pm-8pm or 1pm-8pm (open to either) 40 hours per week – no weekends Work Arrangement: Residents are at the center from 8:00am-4:00pm; RN’s visit the houses in the evening to complete assessments, training, etc. RN’s may eventually have the ability to do a few hours of remote work however all remaining tasks including documentation, printing, etc. will need to be completed at the center to ensure they can receive assistance from on-site staff as needed. Time spent between the center and in group homes is 50-50. Contract Duration: 4 weeks with a chance of extension Start Date: ASAP Overtime is not permitted and RN’s are not approved to work over 40hrs per week.

About Facility: a non-profit organization based in Salisbury, Maryland, dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1968, they provides a wide range of services, including day programs, medical day care, supported employment, and children’s programs. The organization aims to promote and assist the development of approximately 200 citizens with developmental disabilities. Additionally, they currently operate around 35 group homes in Wicomico County, each housing between 1-4 individuals. Responsibilities: (job description in attachments with all details provided) Health Assessments Care Coordination Medication Management Training and Supervision Resident Interaction Regulatory Compliance Delegation and Oversight Emergency Response Paperwork and Documentation Team Meetings Required Experience: At least 1 year of previous/recent experience in a similar role. Candidates with an active license and recent experience in any of the positions below will be considered (just a few listed, regular RN’s may be considered as well). Nurse Manager Clinical Nurse Leader Charge Nurse Director of Nursing Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Clinical Nurse Educator Patient Care Coordinator Utilization Management Clinical Reviewer Staff RN – Float Previous/recent experience working with individuals that have developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus, however the DON (Gladys) can provide training if needed. Previous/recent group home experience preferred. Required Skills: Clinical expertise Delegation skills Communication Assessment and planning Training and supervision Regulatory knowledge (understanding of relevant laws, regulations/policies, etc.) Problem solving Empathy and patience Total Group Homes: 35 total group homes with the furthest being 9 miles away from HQ. Group Homes Visited Per Day: Number will vary as facility organizes work schedule according to the individuals that they serve. Delegating RN’s have a caseload that typically consists of 5-6 homes each when they are fully staffed. CNA/DSP’s Per Home: Depends on acuity and number of clients in each house. Each house ranges with as little as 1 DSP in the home. Specific licensure and certifications/registrations required: MD Compact License CPR/BLS Must obtain delegation case management training from the Maryland Board of Nursing within 90 days of hire. This training is offered every other month at no cost. On Call is NOT required. EMR: E-Tracker – Facility willing to provide training if needed Orientation/First Day: All training specific to nursing will be completed by the Director of Nursing. They will personally train to get RN’s started in maintaining a good workflow. Carematic/Carasolva training Shadowing a current Residential Nurse to learn responsibilities and tasks. Review PMOFs MARs, NCPs and medical charts for each assigned client. Review current nursing policies Shadow Residential Nurse for assessments, med passes and delegation of tasks. Shadow Residential Nurse to review appointment documentation and follow-up. Parking: FreeThe RN Delegating School Nurse delegates the assignment ofroutine nursing tasks to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). The RN is responsible for continuousoversight of the delegated tasks and maintaining documentation of the UAP.
The oversight includes ensuring that delegated tasks arewithin the best interest of the student and apart of the students IHP/ 504plan. The RN is also responsible forassessing competency and skills of the UAP who will be performing routinestandardized nursing tasks.
The oversight will include supervision of the UAP’s asrequired by regulation, contract and personnel management associated with theclinical delivery. The RN DelegatingSchool Nurse is accountable to all federal, state, and local contracts andprograms, and Amergis requirements.
The RN Delegating School Nurse is also responsible for theongoing evaluation of UAP’s in collaboration with the district nurse. Criticalto this role is the assurance of clinical skills and competency of caregiversas well as safety for the student. This position will include ongoing caregiversupervision, development and evaluation under the direction of the DistrictBuilding Nurse and Amergis Healthcare Staffing requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
