The Delinquency Specialist I position is responsible for processing delinquencies for homeowners associations. This is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.
\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:
\nDuties include, but are not limited to:
\n\nSet up and maintain delinquency statuses.\nImplement delinquencies using a structured, systematic approach per Association policy.\nUnderstand and explain account activity.\nGenerate delinquency notices, export, and upload the file to Print House.\nReview and approve Print House proofs.\nPrepare Lien and Release of Lien Notifications.\nPrepare attorney/collection agency packages.\nEnter reimbursable charges.\nPoint of contact for the collection attorney or agency.\nInteract with branch staff on the status of accounts.\nComplete delinquency activities per policies, such as lien filings, title searches, and credit bureau filings.\nManage late fees and late interest set up by the branch in the C3 association.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n\n RequirementsKnowledge and Skills:\n\nPerform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.\nKnowledge of general office equipment (copier, fax, phone systems, etc.).\nKnowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.\nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nProfessional customer service skills.\nInterpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\n0 -- 3 years of directly related or closely related experience\n\n\n
