Delivery & Install Driver
Position Profile: Responsible for efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. The role includes installation and networking of gear, potentially offering basic training to customers. Meeting all federal DOT requirements and Delivery Safety Standards is essential.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Delivery: Ensure equipment is safely delivered to the correct location. Log Maintenance: Maintain log books in accordance with DOT regulations (electronic or manual). Vehicle Safety: Conduct pre and post-trip reviews to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness. Cost Efficiency: Perform product pick-up alongside delivery to minimize costs. Technical Installations: Set up IP addresses, download print drivers, manage hard drives, back-up and upload customer's address book. Customer Training: Provide basic training on standalone and network devices. Safety Programs: Participate in safety programs. Customer Communication: Pre-call customers when applicable. Productivity: Achieve expected productivity levels based on workload and experience. Customer Relations: Demonstrate excellent customer relation skills. Issue Resolution: Identify customer needs and determine appropriate actions. Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to the service and process team. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies. Dispatch Communication: Contact dispatch or service department as needed. Equipment Configuration: Ensure equipment matches provided documentation. Loading/Off-loading: Safely load and secure equipment in the vehicle. Electronic Signatures: Use phone to capture customer signatures. Paperwork: Ensure all paperwork is properly processed. Training: Train new delivery drivers on new products and proper loading techniques. Accident Reporting: Follow all accident/incident reporting guidelines. Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation. Warehouse Equipment: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Driving Record: Safe driving record and history. Technical Training: Online and on-the-job training focused on networking and installation. Licensing: Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle according to FMCSR regulations. Experience: Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience. Age & Education: At least 20 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Commercial License: Valid commercial driver’s license if applicable by state. GPS Skills: Ability to read maps and electronic GPS. Overnight Stays: Willingness to stay overnight as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Physical Handling: Ability to manage oversized and overweight equipment. Quick Corrections: Identify at-risk behaviors and make quick corrections. Communication: Strong customer presentation and communication skills. Technical Skills: Familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and basic computer skills. Problem Solving: Methodical approach to resolving problems. Reading & Math: Adequate reading, math skills, and legible writing.Working Conditions:
Safety Compliance: Follow lifting/moving procedures and rules of the road.
Physical Demands: Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Environment: Work in office, warehouse, and vehicle environments with exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
Independence: Ability to work independently.
