Delivery Assurance Specialist - Castings Job Number: 353505 Category: -MFG & Supply Chain SBU Description: Job Title: Delivery Assurance Specialist - Castings Location: Remote, with heavy travel Pay Rate: $45.00-60.00/hour Shift: 1st Employment Type: full time, direct job with benefits Travel: 90% Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Delivery Assurance Specialist to provide expert support for casting suppliers in the maritime industry. This role involves addressing challenges in manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance, with a focus on large-scale castings. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in casting processes, tooling, and troubleshooting, with a proven ability to resolve deviations and ensure seamless operations. *Extensive travel is required to engage directly with clients and suppliers* Job Duties: * Provide on-site support at supplier locations, ensuring successful delivery assurance for large-scale castings. * Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing, quality, and supply chain issues, developing actionable solutions. * Evaluate casting processes, gating, and tooling to identify and address potential deficiencies. * Conduct detailed assessments and implement efficiency measures, including Value Stream Mapping, Lean initiatives, and cycle-time studies. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing and supply chain operations. * Develop and present detailed processes, procedures, and documentation to improve operational effectiveness. * Utilize PFMEA, RFT analysis, and MSAs to prevent and address failures. * Create and refine work instructions for new and existing processes. Required Qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, with a focus on industrial and maritime industries. * Deep expertise in large casting processes, including gating and tooling. * Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing and supply chain issues. * Experience with OEMs or industrial sectors, managing diverse stakeholders effectively. * Strong proficiency in KPI management, Lean methodologies, and shop floor collaboration. * Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience. * Familiarity with ERP systems and material/production planning. * Ability to deploy quickly and deliver results with precision. Preferred Qualifications: * Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain. * Maritime or shipbuilding industry experience. * Knowledge of cost reduction techniques, such as Should Cost or VAVE methodologies. * Ability to obtain DOD security clearance.
