Delivery Buyer
Job Title: Delivery Buyer Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Buyer, where you will play a crucial role in performing both tactical and strategic buying activities to ensure on-time delivery and overall part readiness for Manufacturing, Engine Assembly, and MRO. You will support cost, sourcing, and supplier management functions within the Purchasing Department. This role requires initiating and evaluating RFQ/RFPs to support business needs, placing POs based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements, and coordinating meetings with suppliers and customers to ensure project goals are met. Responsibilities + Support on-time delivery for manufacturing, engine assembly, maintenance repair, and overhaul (MRO) needs. + Initiate and evaluate RFQ/RFPs to support business needs. + Place POs based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements. + Coordinate meetings with suppliers and customers to ensure business project goals are met. + Problem-solve and make decisions to support hardware disposition and expediting to achieve on-time delivery. + Negotiate and award business based on the best possible quality, cost, and delivery terms. + Work with Engineering and Suppliers to accomplish process improvement goals. + Support process changes and other project-related items with internal and external customers. + Provide support to team members to ensure processes are understood and followed. Essential Skills + Experience in purchasing, procurement, and MRP. + TRAVELNG TO SUPPLIERS IS REQUIRED! + Experience working in a manufacturing company. + Microsoft Office suite proficiency. + Comfortable with phone communication. + Experience with distressed suppliers. + 3-5 years of experience for one role, 2-5 years for the other. + Negotiation experience. + Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries, aerospace is a plus. + Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, manufacturing engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience in procurement or supply chain. + Minimum 3 years of procurement or logistics-related experience. + Strong project management and problem-solving skills. + Ability to manage supplier relationships and work in teams. + Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, preferably in Aerospace.
