Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and securing of items for transportation.Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Interact with customers professionally, and friendly, providing exceptional customer service during deliveries.Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain appropriate signatures or proof of delivery as required.Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents during transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.Excellent knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.Physical demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. You must be able to lift light to moderate weight and sit for extended periods of time to complete your job at a computer.
